Chinese Brush Painting

Join experienced artist, Diana Gallivan and learn the technique of traditional Chinese watercolour brush painting.

During the workshop, you will learn about the various brush strokes used in the technique; have an opportunity to practise your skills and flowing brush strokes. You will then put your learning together to create a final piece: a painting of a peony.

Tickets to this workshop include the cost of one Chinese paintbrush that attendees will be able to take home. You will need to bring you own selection of watercolours – including a quantity of pale tube paint that can be watered down to create the base of your picture. You will also need to bring something like a tray to use as a palette as plenty of space is needed to manipulate your paints. Other materials will be included.

The will be an opportunity to buy brushes on the day from your tutor. If you might interested in this, please bring cash as these will be purchased directly from your tutor and not from Winterbourne.
