Mini Medical School competition spring 2020
- Dates
- Wednesday 5 February (18:00) - Wednesday 25 March 2020 (20:00)
We are delighted to offer six students, selected from our partner Schools, a free place on the 2020 Spring Mini Medical School.
The Mini Medical School is a health education series, featuring a different aspect of medicine each week. Designed for year 11 pupils considering applying to Medical School, this programme gives you the opportunity to get a taster of the range of topics covered in Medical Education. The course is fun and informative, and provides a scientific background to improve your understanding of the human body, the doctor’s role and health issues facing us today.
Who? This competition is open to students who come from backgrounds that are currently under-represented in the medical profession (for example, students with parents who have not been to university, students eligible for free school meals, students from groups with a low progression to university), are aged 15-16 (Year 11), and who have parental/guardian consent.
When? The Mini Medical School will take place for seven weeks on Wednesday evenings, 18:00-20:00 between Wednesday 5 February - Wednesday 25 March 2020 (please note there will not be a session during Half Term Holiday, Wednesday 26 February).
Where? At the Medical School, University of Birmingham.
If you would like to be considered for a free place on the Mini Medical School then please complete this form by Friday 10 January 2020.
