Air pollution affects around 2.8 million people in the West Midlands. Switching to walking or cycling for short journeys is a small change we can all make towards enjoying cleaner air.
Join our bike maintenance workshop led by Birmingham Bike Foundry and get to grips with how your bike should function so you can identify and fix problems yourself. A little knowledge can keep you out of your car and on your bike for longer.
Bikes and equipment will be provided for this workshop.
This activity is presented as part of The Air We Breathe, a public programme at The Exchange, with an exhibition, activities and events that explore the close relationships between us, our environment and our air quality. From a hydrogen train to a sci-fi forest, discover the work being done by the University of Birmingham to deliver clean air both here in Birmingham and around the world and how you can get involved.
