Take part in creating a new Birmingham Qur’an, written by the people of the city!

The Birmingham Qur'an manuscript is one of the earliest surviving fragments of the Qur'an, it dates back to the 7th century. Inspired by this amazing find, we will create a Qur'an that has been transcribed by the people of Birmingham. Using traditional manuscript craftsmanship and techniques, we will create an artefact that belongs to the city of Birmingham.

This activity is being led by the MIAH (Museum of Islamic Arts and Heritage) Foundation and is supported by the Culture Forward project at University of Birmingham.

Free, drop in from 11:00 – 14:00. Suitable for all ages.
