Gender Inequality - The Institute for Global Innovation

In this seminar Dr Eleni Sifaki, who has recently joined the IGI as a Research Fellow on the Fighting Gender Inequality Research Programme, will discuss her recent work on gender relations, women’s agency in changing production networks and focusing on the case of the grapes export sector in Greece. Export agriculture has undergone major changes over time that have been compounded by the recent economic and financial crisis. There is little research however on the processes of transformation in women’s work and agency in the context of changing production networks.
