A variety of fascinating and hands-on exhibits will highlight the recent research of the University such as black holes and gravitational waves, in the family-friendly Grow Your Mind zone, plus music and dance – all outdoors of course!

The Green Heart Prom
Music and singing from the University of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, our talented Festival Voices, and distinguished Solo Performances. Playing some recognised pieces for rousing audience participation, with a spectacular fireworks finale, we are all set to ‘raise the roof’!
We are proud to announce that Professor of Public Engagement in Science, Alice Roberts, will be hosting the Green Heart Prom.

For CBSO Conductor, Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla the Baltic Song Festivals have been a formative musical experience: now, together with the CBSO and their whole family of choirs, plus guest choirs drawn from throughout the region, we are delighted that the CBSO Song Festival will form a key part of our Green Heart Festival Launch Weekend. And everyone can take part!
