Part of the School of Biosciences' Spring Biology Lecture Series. Mike has an international reputation in the two fields of platelets and cell surface biology, and is funded by the British Heart Foundation to complete further research in these areas. Mike grew up in Birmingham, but went on to study in Bath, Oxford, and the USA. After returning to the UK, he began his own research group to study the regulation of platelet receptor signalling at the University of Birmingham. Mike teaches in both the School of Biosciences and the Medical School.
