In association with B-Film, we are delighted to welcome Brazilian journalist and director Sergio Utsch to the University of Birmingham for a screening of and discussion on his independent documentary film ‘The Boy Who Made a Museum’. The documentary, set in a remote part of North East Brazil charts an 11 year old boy's quest to celebrate the Brazilian musician Luiz Gonzaga, and in the process highlights the culture and history of a Brazil unknown to many.
Introduced by the historian and Brazilianist from the University of Birmingham Dr Courtney Campbell, together with an expert academic panel from across the University, join us for an exploration of Brazilian culture, music and history.
