Explore and capture the unique sounds of the University of Birmingham campus with sound artist Dan Cippico, also known as Wildforms.

Wednesday 16 October, 2pm – 4.30pm

£3, booking essential

Meet in the Barber Institute foyer.

Get ready to engage your senses in a new and exciting way, inspired by our new sensory scent exhibition.

During the workshop, Dan will introduce you to field recording techniques and provide you with tips for capturing sounds from the world around us. You’ll have the chance to practice your new skills around campus, recording the sounds of autumn through nature, the weather, and city life. This experience will offer insights into the art of listening and engaging with your senses.

The workshop is suitable for beginners, but all experience levels are welcome. You will capture sounds and create a group soundscape that will be sampled in Dan’s performance at our Barber Late event in November.
