Birmingham's Got Talent!

On 21 June we will be celebrating the University’s 125th anniversary with a spectacular outdoor concert. We have 5000 people registered to attend and we are now looking for the final pieces in our musical jigsaw.

Do you sing and have the stage presence of a pop star? Can you get the audience on their feet? If so, we want to hear from you. The competition is open to current students and staff at the University of Birmingham.

We are looking for a small selection of talented vocalists with pop/rock/RnB/indie/reggae style voices and a great ear, who are confident singing solos. The winning vocalists will be on the main stage for our 125 concert along with the University Jazz Orchestra in their soul/pops orchestra set up. You’ll be singing hits from the 60s to the 00s from artists from across Birmingham and the West Midlands in some brand new remixes - helping us bring the party atmosphere to this exciting event.

The deadline for applications is 7 March at midday. We will then hold in-person second round auditions in w/c 31 March, at which point we will ask you to select one of the tracks that will be featured in the concert and show us what you can do.
