International Women's Day 2025 "Accelerating Action for All" Monday 17th March

This year, at the University of Birmingham we are celebrating our 125th Anniversary, using this momentous opportunity to reflect on our deep heritage as a civic institution – an institution “of the people and for the people”.  As part of our celebrations, and to mark International Women’s Day 2025, the University of Birmingham Dubai will be hosting a panel discussion with a focus on ‘Accelerating Action for All’.

About the event

The UAE has highlighted gender parity and women’s empowerment as a priority. In this uplifting and motivational discussion, we celebrate women’s achievements and speak to UAE based educators and Industry leaders from the private and public sector, who share their experience and commitment in driving this narrative forward. The conversation will address how to ‘Accelerate Action’ to drive gender parity and showcase how we can create environments that drive a culture of excellence and promote authentic equity and inclusion.  

The panel discussion will be moderated by Professor Yusra Mouzughi, Dubai Provost, and welcomes guest speakers:
