This programme is established to honour the memory of Maya Harbuzyuk, late Dean of Ivan Franko’s Faculty of Culture and Arts, in order to strengthen the Birmingham-Lviv research collaborations that she initiated in Theatre Studies.

Purpose
The ambition of the fellowship programme is to:
- Stimulate academic collaborations between Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (IFNUL) and teaching and research staff at the Shakespeare Institute and the Department of Drama and Theatre Arts at the University of Birmingham (UoB);
- Support IFNUL's developing Masters programme, which will draw inspiration from UoB’s existing Masters programmes;
- Contribute to practice-based research initiatives with staff and students to promote social and economic revival in Ukraine.
Eligibility
Academics and Early Career Researchers (ECRs) from IFNUL with an interest in the field of Shakespeare research or general drama and theatre research are invited to submit a short application outlining the proposed research project to be conducted at Birmingham.
Applicants will need to identity a suitable academic host from UoB’s Department of Drama and Theatre Arts or Shakespeare Institute and be able to indicate how their visit will help to advance the stated aims of the twining fellowship programme, as outlined above. Funding breakdown
Fellowships will be awarded for up to 3 months, with a £1.5K monthly allowance to cover living costs in Birmingham, plus a travel bursary of up to £1,200 for travel and visa costs based on the breakdown below.
