MBA End of Study Internships
Our End of Study Internships at Birmingham Business School offer our recent MBA graduates the opportunity to work with your company for 8 - 12 weeks.
The MBA End of Study Internship scheme aims to provide projects with various organisations for MBA graduates to undertake from September to December each academic year. Our MBA graduates already have business experience, multi-language abilities, cultural skills and specific sector knowledge.
- The MBA graduates may be international students whose visas will allow them to take on an internship full-time through until the end of the year, meaning there is no additional cost or administration for employers, if the graduate is international.
- The MBA graduates will be available to undertake an internship for 12 weeks and we would expect that they are paid at least minimum wage. Funding is available through Birmingham Business School to support internships. Depending on the opportunity, part funding of up to 50% of salary cost may be available.
- The MBA graduate will be expected to fund their own travel to work (if it is necessary to travel into the office). All additional travel or other expense-related activity must be agreed upfront with the graduate ahead of expenditure and covered by the company accordingly.
- A manager must be assigned to the MBA graduate and a suitable communication and regular review plan put in place. The employer must agree specific tasks, outcomes and remit with the graduate and manage and support the delivery of these.
- While working on site or under specific directives of the organisation, the employer must ensure the MBA graduate is covered by the same policies, procedures and employer liability insurance as other employees.
Please complete the form below to provide details of the internship, which will then be used by the Careers team to promote the opportunity in your company to our students. Applicants will be invited to submit a CV and covering letter which will be shared with you after the closing date, after which you would also be able to shortlist and interview the candidates to select which graduate you feel would best suit your company.
