Alumni reunion 2018

Thank you for making the Alumni Reunion 2018 such a great success. Over 220 alumni and guests came back to campus on Saturday 29 September to rediscover what made Birmingham "home" and to renew their lifelong connection to this special place. It was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with friends and classmates and see how Birmingham has grown into the university it is today. 

Attendees enjoyed tours of their old department, stress-free lectures from leading academics, a chance to visit some of the latest additions to campus, such as the new sports centre, and a reunion lunch hosted by the Vice Chancellor in the Great Hall. There was plenty of time to reminisce about the old days with friends and classmates, some who hadn't met in more than 58 years! Alumni also enjoyed meeting current academics and students and finding out all about the work they do.

JUST ANNOUNCED! The 2019 Alumni Reunion will take place in the summer to take advantage of our new 12 acre campus parkland the Green Heart, which is under development right now. Join us for events taking place on 7, 8 and 9 June 2019. Check back for more information and the programme later in the year.

While we do host annual reunions, you are more than welcome to come back to campus at any time. Whether you're visiting on your own, with family or would like to get your classmates together, we can help make arrangements for your visit. Take a look at our guide for organising your own reunions. Please note that if you would like to come back to campus but do not wish to join in with our listed events, you are more than welcome to follow your own reunion day of events on campus.
