Daniel is a Lecturer in Criminology in the Department of Social Policy, Sociology and Criminology at the University of Birmingham. He teaches across the 3 years of the undergraduate programme, as a module convenor for Violence in a Global Context and Crime and Society.  Daniel also supervises a number of final year dissertations, providing advice and guidance on undergraduate research projects.

Biography

Daniel joined the University of Birmingham in 2016.  He is the module convenor for the 1st year undergraduate modules Violence in a Global Context and Crime and Society.  Daniel has been involved in higher education as a researcher, teaching associate, and lecturer, for 20 years.  He taught at the University of Lincoln across all 3 years of the undergraduate Criminology BA degree for 11 years. He has also taught modules for Human Rights and War Crime and Genocide.  His research is concerned with issues of accountability and agency in the context of war crimes and genocide.
