Dr Swaroop Chakraborty

Dr. Chakraborty is an interdisciplinary researcher with profound expertise in the synthesis and characterisation of nanomaterials, as well as in investigating their biochemical transformations and implications for toxicity and practical applications. His work is prominently positioned at the intersection of nanotechnology, chemistry and biology, focusing on unveiling the mechanisms behind nanomaterials and metal-organic framework transformations. Dr. Chakraborty's research endeavors are currently supported by two prestigious EU-funded projects: H2020-SABYDOMA and Horizon Europe-MOZART. These projects are central to advancing the domain of nanosafety research, aiming to mitigate the risks associated with nanomaterials while maximising their beneficial applications. Through his involvement in these initiatives, Dr. Chakraborty is deeply committed to developing a mechanistic understanding of nanomaterial interactions and evaluating their toxicity using state-of-the-art in-vitro cellular models. His work promises to contribute significantly to the field, offering innovative solutions and safer nanomaterials for diverse applications.
