Dr Graham McIlroy is a clinical academic in haematology with interests in myeloma and other lymphoid malignancies. His research is patient-focussed, and includes seeking to improve the detection and monitoring of blood cancers, and developing novel treatments through clinical trials.

Biography

Graham works with collaborators from across the College of Medical and Dental Sciences, and also with industry, on research projects studying the immunological hallmarks of blood cancers. He also has well-established links with the College’s CRUK Clinical Trials Unit, where he is involved in delivering a number of haematology trials as a clinical coordinator, and as co-investigator on a large UK-wide follicular lymphoma trial.

Alongside his academic work, Graham is a higher speciality trainee in haematology, and practices clinically as an NHS haematologist at University Hospitals Birmingham.
