Why did you apply to the University of Birmingham?
The University of Birmingham is a leading global top 100 university which is also a member of the elite Russell Group of UK universities. It is famous for the quality of education provided in a range of subjects particularly engineering and science.
What are the best points of your course?
The most attractive part of Electronic and Electrical Engineering is the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. With studying Electrical Engineering, you can not only know what the digital systems and electrical circuits are but also make your own robot with your group members. There are loads of lab sessions which can make you understand the theories better and give you a sense of accomplishment.
What’s your highlight of your time at the University?
The best thing I did so far is joining the regional volleyball team of University of Birmingham. The training not only keeps me healthy but also gives me an opportunity to make friends with people from all over the world. Participating in a society is the best decision I made to adapt to life in the UK better.
How do you feel you have benefitted from the experience of studying in the UK?
Moving to a new country and studying abroad is always challenging and exciting. Try to plan ahead because it takes time to adapt to a new environment. However, you don’t have to be nervous about the difficulties you might face in the future since there are many staff and friends who want to help you whenever you need.
What do you like most about the city?
The city of Birmingham has a long history of welcoming international students to study and work here. Birmingham is the second largest city located in an important and central location in the UK...and offers lots of opportunities for working, travelling and internships.
