University of Birmingham was and still is highly ranked in Physics and Astronomy all over the UK while I was applying for University and Birmingham is the second largest city which led me to study here.
What are the best points of your course?
Astrophysics is an immensely interesting and challenging course, but one of its best aspects would be the use of our very own University of Birmingham Observatory.
What’s the best thing about studying at the University of Birmingham?
Just how massive and unexplored the entire university is. The university has a botanical garden, a geology museum, an art gallery and many more places to explore every day.

One of my highlights so far would be visiting the Christmas Markets. I had never been to a German Christmas Market before and I absolutely loved the entire experience with the music, the food, and the snowy weather.

Living away from home is tough but my go to advice would be to make the most of your time here. Volunteer, be a committee member, do part-time work at University and be open to new things.
What do you like most about the city?
I like how vibrant and active this city is and the fact that it isn’t too overcrowded given that it’s the biggest city after London.
