What advice would you give to students thinking about studying on the course?
Be prepared for the cultural and academic adjustments at a new university. It is normal to experience challenges, such as not knowing anyone, struggling to adapt to the culture, and navigating the academic system initially. However, I have found that being proactive and taking initiative can help overcome these obstacles. I would advise new students to reach out to their peers, join clubs and societies, seek help from lecturers and tutors if needed, take the time to learn about the culture and customs of the university and the surrounding area. Taking advantage of opportunities to travel and explore the city and the United Kingdom. This can help in building a support system and understanding the new environment. Additionally, I would recommend being open-minded, flexible, and persistent, so that you can make the most out of your university experience.
