Award Description

The School of Computer Science is happy to be able to recognise and reward our top incoming UK undergraduate students, to celebrate your excellent academic achievements before arriving as a student at the University of Birmingham.

Value of Award

The Computer Science UK Excellence Scholarship consists of a single payment of £3000 via bank transfer during semester 1 of the first year of study, for the top ten highest performing students, that meet all conditions listed.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this award on entry to the university you must:

• Be classified as Home for fees on your acceptance to the university
• Be accepted to one of the following courses for year 1 entry in 2022 after placing it as firm choice in UCAS:
  • Computer Science BSc
  • Computer Science MSci
  • Computer Science with a Year in Industry BSc
  • Computer Science with a Year in Industry MSci
  • Computer Science with Study Abroad BSc
  • Computer Science with Study Abroad MSci
  • Computer Science/Software Engineering MEng
  • Computer Science/Software Engineering with a Year in Industry MEng
  • Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science BSc
  • Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science with a Year in Industry BSc
• Any required conversion from other qualification systems is calculated internally by the university.  To enquire about your qualifications, please contact ug-admissions@cs.bham.ac.uk
• This award is not renewable and is awarded in first year only
• This award is not applicable for applicants applying for the BSc Computer Science with Digital Technology Partnership, PwC
