Welcome to the Air We Breathe exhibition, virtual tour. Where you can explore our exhibition from anywhere in the world. In this video, I'm going to give you a quick overview of how to use the virtual tour so you can begin to learn about the fascinating research going on here at the University of Birmingham
and the types of things we can all do to help make a positive impact on the quality of the air that we breathe. So let's dive in.
To explore the exhibition on a computer, You can either use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move forwards, backwards and look left and right, or you can use your mouse by left clicking on the circle on the floor. You want to travel to. You can also look left and right and up and down with your mouse by left clicking and dragging your mouse or by dragging your fingers. If you're using a tablet. You can zoom in and out by using the plus and minus keys on the keyboard or by using the zoom function on your device, which is normally done through pinching or expanding your fingers.
The different coloured circles are hotspots where you can left click or tap on them to learn more about each section. The orange dots contain audio content and the green dots contain video content. You'll also see purple dots which provide extra written information and blue dots, which is where you can provide feedback.
In the bottom left of the screen., there are a couple of options to help you explore the exhibition. If you click the play icon, it takes you on a guided tour around the exhibition, which you can pause at any time. The View Doll's House option allows you to see the full three dimensional floorplan of the building, and if you click on it again, you can see a two dimensional vertical flow panel. You can use this to navigate quickly and easily around the exhibition by clicking on the section you want to go into. The floor section allows you to easily swap between the different areas of the exhibition. The South Foyer and the vault .
On the right hand side of the screen, you'll see three options. The first allows you to share this space with others through social media, email or as a URL link. You can also share the exact location by clicking this box. The second option allows you to explore the virtual exhibition through a VR headset if you have access to one and the third option allows you to view the virtual exhibition in full screen. If you click this option again, you can exit the full screen mode or click the escape button. So now you've got the basics, enjoy exploring the exhibition.
