Meet Rosalinda
What is your favourite thing about your course?
My favourite thing about my course is having a mixture of assessment types as I am more confident in essay writing and coursework-based tasks. This means that I won't always be assessed fully by my performance in exams which I find more challenging to undergo and prepare for.
A friend who's never visited Birmingham before comes to stay with you - what would you do with them to get a taste of the city?
I would take them to Golf Fang crazy golf in Digbeth, have dinner at Turtle Bay in Brindley Place and finish the night bar hopping along Broad Street.
When did you know the University of Birmingham was the place for you?
I knew the University of Birmingham was the place for me when I visited the campus and could imagine myself having lunch with friends on the Green Heart or hurrying to get to a lecture in the Teaching and Learning Building.
What are some highlights of your time at Birmingham?
A highlight of my time at Birmingham was being involved in was bringing back the Marketing Society to the Guild with the help of my course mates.
Where is your favourite place on campus?
My favourite place on campus is the sofa seats on the middle floor of the Teaching and Learning building.
Do you have any top tips for prospective Birmingham students?
- Say yes to as many new opportunities as possible because you never know what they could lead to and who you could meet.
- Submit your assignments at least 48 hours before they're actually due (technology can be a pain and you don't want a late penalty because of WIFI)
- Don't stress if you don't find your people straight away, you have 3-4 years to find them!
What do you want to do after graduating?
After graduating I want to work in digital marketing in the Tech or Fashion industry.
