Student Support Fund
The Student Support Fund (SSF) is provided by the University to help students who have genuine and unavoidable financial difficulties and are struggling with their basic living costs despite having received all the financial support available to them.
The SSF is open to all normally registered students studying at our UK campus including those studying by distance learning. There are some eligibility requirements for support, including having already taken out all of the statutory support for which you are eligible. You may also be asked to demonstrate that you made adequate realistic provision for your studies before embarking on your course.
All awards made from the SSF are means-tested, which means that some applications will be unsuccessful. We can only assist in genuine cases where a student cannot meet basic expenditure from any other source. Any award granted will be paid as a non-repayable cash bursary into the student’s nominated bank account. Please note that the SSF cannot be used to help with tuition fees.
