What is a Skills Bootcamp?
Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills. The aim of the bootcamps is to help individuals adjust to the changing economy by upskilling or reskilling, enabling the transition from work in declining sectors and occupations into new careers. Some of our bootcamps are fully funded by the Department for Education, giving you the opportunity to study a University qualification for free.

Whether you want to climb the career ladder or change professions entirely, bootcamps are an excellent way to gain the latest technical and digital skills. Our bootcamps focus on making learners as employable as possible by ensuring they learn the skills and gain the required qualifications for their new careers. We also provide recruitment support (if required) at the end of the course.
How will I study?
Our flexible Skills Bootcamps range from 6 to 24 weeks. Courses are either delivered via intensive teaching blocks followed by online study, via evening classes or are delivered 100% online. Our Skills Bootcamps are delivered through a mix of lectures, practical workshops and projects, with an embedded employability programme. In person classes may take place at our Edgbaston campus or our city centre building, The Exchange.
