This leading higher education postgraduate certificate features expert lecturers and researchers from a range of disciplines. You’ll be taught through a blend of tutorials, projects and practical assignments to consolidate your learning.
The online Higher Education Policy into Practice PG Certificate is a 60 credit, 12 month programme consisting of six 10 credit taught modules (lasting 8 weeks each).
You will enrol in these modules sequentially, developing knowledge and skills across design, data science, and policy.
To gain a place at Birmingham you will need to meet our general entry requirements, as well as those specific to your course. Your application will be reviewed by the course’s Admissions Tutor, who will decide whether your application should receive an offer.

Standard Entry Requirements
You should have, or expect to obtain a 2:1 Honours Degree from a UK academic institution or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
Obtained a second-class degree or equivalent qualification from a UK university or recognised institution with evidence of at least 2 years of relevant work experience in policy development, university administration and/or leadership.
5+ years of work experience in policy development, university administration and/or leadership.
If you are an international student, you will need to demonstrate you have a suitable level of English proficiency, usually through the form of an IELTS or equivalent qualification.
For this course we require IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band, which is equivalent to:
