Joining the MSc Endodontics programme has been a transformative experience for my practice. Now in my final year, I have seen significant improvements in my endodontic skills, leaving me confident to take on more challenging cases. The course exceeded my expectations with its outstanding tutors and well-structured curriculum. I couldn’t have asked for a better educational journey!
Course Structure
The course is run over three years part-time with an option to exit at the end of each year leading to the award of a PGCert, PGDip or MSc. While the exact content may change, here’s what you can expect to study each year. This is based on a full time Masters course. The modules can also be taken separately and joined together to get an exit degree.
Year one has three modules. Two modules run over half a year. Module one will focus on endodontic diagnosis, vital pulp therapy, regenerative endodontic procedures, the management of root resorption and also endodontic microbiology. Module two will follow with root canal therapy with lectures on rotary and reciprocation, and different obturation techniques. The practical aspects of root canal therapy will run over the year and include tutorials on the various topics covered in the lectures, journal clubs for critical appraisal of the literature and a residential week.
