    1. Tour our campus and facilities

    Our Postgraduate Open Day will be taking place on our beautiful 267-acre Edgbaston campus so you will be able to explore and get a feeling for what life at Birmingham may be like. You can choose to take a guided postgraduate campus tour to see highlights of the campus as well as key locations for our postgraduate students. Some of our subject facilities will also be open for you to explore on a bookable tour, such as our School of Computer Science, the Medical School, the Barber Institute of Fine Arts and many more!

    2. Discover your scholarship and funding options

    With more than £33 million in student development and scholarships, find out more about the support available to you during your postgraduate studies, such as our £2,000 Alumni Scholarship; £3,000 Birmingham Masters Scholarship; and £4,000 Postgraduate Access Scholarship. We will be holding funding talks on the options available to you at both Masters and PhD level, and our student ambassadors will be able to talk to you about how their scholarships have helped them throughout their studies.

    3. Meet our Birmingham academics

    Our academics will be available to discuss the research and programmes you’re interested in, including modules, course structure and suitability in relation to your previous experience. You can choose to: attend a subject talk to hear more about your programme; visit our academics at a subject drop-in stand; or even book a one-to-one appointment with them to ask any question you may have about postgraduate study at Birmingham.

    4. Hear first-hand from current students

    Our student ambassadors will share their personal experience of being a postgraduate with you, and can answer your questions about their course, the postgraduate community and life at Birmingham. As they are all current students, our ambassadors are some of the best people to talk to and hear why they decided that the University of Birmingham was the best place for them and their studies.

    Our Admissions staff can assist you with questions on your application, while our Careers and Funding teams will deliver presentations and advice on what may be available to you. If you're intending to live in student accommodation, you can gain advice from our Accommodation team whether you wish to live in University-owned or privately-owned accommodation.
