    Hi! I’m Tori.

I'm a second year studying Digital Media and Communications and I like to think of myself as a storyteller at heart. I’m obsessed with stories and all the forms they come in— from fiction to culture and personal identity.

    BA Digital Media & Communications
How did you choose your degree subject?

I knew that I wanted to study something to do with media, but I wasn’t sure which specific field I might end up in. The DMC course provided the perfect balance and spread for me.

Best module?

The Creative Practice modules have been some of the most memorable sessions so far. The opportunity to let loose and work with professional equipment while putting together a portfolio is really special.

What's the most underrated spot in Birmingham?

The rooftop garden in the city library! When the weather’s decent, it’s the perfect place to take in the views.

What's one piece of advice you can share for incoming students?

Don’t be afraid to engage and participate. It’s okay to get things wrong or be unsure about something. Get out of your head, nobody’s judging you.
