Dr Roshanmanesh, after finishing her higher national diploma in mathematics and physics with first class honours in 1999 from NODET school, passed the Iranian University National Entrance Exam in the same year and started to study Maths and Statistics at the University of Tehran, Iran.
In 2002, after graduation with first class honour in Maths and statistics, she moved to Italy to study Industrial design at Univertita’ Degli Studenti Di Firenze.
Few years later in 2005 she went back to Iran and started a joint degree program in Electrical Engineering and Communication, between Amir Kabir University of Technology (AUT) and University of Birmingham (UoB). After finishing her second year of study at AUT, she continued her study at UoB for two years, and then she graduated with an MEng degree.
During her undergraduate degree she has become very interested in satellite communications so that she broadened her knowledge by taking an MSc (Taught) course in Satellite and Mobile Communications. But this did not satisfy her eager to learn more about microwave engineering in satellite and mobile communications, so she started MRes degree in Microwave and Communication Engineering.
Dr Roshanmanesh then continued her studies at doctorate level in the field of non-destructive testing and condition monitoring to broaden her knowledge in analytical techniques for signal processing applied to condition monitoring and remote sensing and obtained her PhD in 2019.
Since 2019, Dr Roshanmanesh has been a research fellow, actively working on several multi-disciplinary projects in the field of remote sensing and NDT, including collaboration with UK National Quantum Hub in Sensing and Timing.
