Dr. Leandro Junges is a Centre Fellow at the Centre for Systems Modelling and Quantitative Biomedicine (SMQB). His research focuses on the development and application of mathematical and computational methods to help understanding biomedical systems and develop personalised predictions in healthcare, especially in the context of neuroscience.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Theoretical Physics, 2014
  • MSc in Theoretical Physics, 2009
  • BSc in Physics, 2007

Biography

Dr Leandro Junges graduated with a BSc. degree in physics from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Porto Alegre - Brazil, and got a MSc. degree in theoretical physics at the same institution. Still at UFRGS, He received his Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics, where he studied different types of dynamical systems subjected to delayed feedback. Since 2016, his research focus has been on combining tools from mathematical modelling, network science and data analysis to study biomedical systems, especially in the context of neuroscience.
