Magdalena Skrybant is Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Lead for NIHR Applied Research Collaboration West Midlands (ARC WM).  Magdalena’s role ensures that there is meaningful involvement with patients and the public in applied health research.

Qualifications

  • MA in European Studies, Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland, 2002
  • BA (Hons) Russian with Polish, University of Sheffield, 2001

Biography

Magdalena is Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Lead for NIHR Applied Research Collaboration West Midlands (ARC) , which brings together academics, the,service and patients and the public to improve health outcomes for patients.

Leading on the operations of Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement, Magdalena ensures that the patient and public voice is present at all levels of ARC West Midlands and that patient experiences and understanding of healthcare help ensure researchers ask the right questions, that research design and delivery is effective, and that research findings are communicated to the right audiences in appropriate formats.
