Samantha Cruz Rivera, PhD, has expertise in the design and analysis of Delphi methodology, systematic reviews, surveys and co-designing research with patient advocates and members of the public. Her main research interests are assessment of patient reported outcomes (PROs) and maximising the impact of PROs from clinical trials. Other research interests include artificial intelligence and regulatory science.

Dr Cruz Rivera is a research fellow at the Centre for Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) Research which aims to optimize the use of PROs in clinical trials and routine care, to improve service delivery, enhance patient care and outcomes and ensure that the patient perspective is at the heart of health research and NHS decision-making.

Dr Cruz Rivera is also a research fellow at the Demand Hub (Data-Enabled Medical technologies ANd Devices Hub), which aims at providing support to small and medium enterprises around business development, digital tech, validation and commercialisation, clinical studies and trials and; clinician/expert/user experience.
