Clare is a PhD student exploring how to improve identification and management of mental and other health problems in the GP postnatal check.  She started her studentship with the NIHR ARC West Midlands Maternity Theme in April 2021. She is also a practicing GP in Leicester, and completed her medical training in Norfolk and Derbyshire. Clare has a longstanding interest in postnatal care and infant feeding. She is Chair of ‘GPs Championing Perinatal Care’ (GPCPC) and sits on the NHS England Postnatal Care Working Group. Clare was the GP committee member for the NICE Postnatal Care Clinical Guideline.
