Affiliation: School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences

Biography: Archie is PhD researcher in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences. He completed his BSc (hons) and MRes in Sport, Exercise and Health Science at the University of Birmingham, specialising in exercise physiology and protein metabolism. Archie has a passion for exploring lifestyle strategies to maintain skeletal muscle health under catabolic states, such as with advancing age or with obesity. Working alongside Dr Breen and the Metabolic and Molecular Physiology Group, Archie’s research aims to improve muscle health outcomes in older adults living with obesity and obesity-related co-morbidities.
