This course will run over 3 years, part-time. While the exact content may change, here’s what you can expect to study each year.
In the first year, you will need to complete 37 hours of supervised practice in your clinical area. During these hours, you will be under direct or indirect supervision by your assigned practice assessor or supervisor. This supervision will help you complete competency-based assessments and develop a comprehensive evidence portfolio, demonstrating your growing competence across the four pillars of practice.
Additionally, you will complete two taught modules. On-campus learning for these modules is scheduled in two-day blocks every two weeks, allowing you to balance your work commitments.
With a clear focus on the four pillars of advanced clinical practice (Clinical Practice, Education, Leadership and Research) this innovative course, developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals, is designed to tackle the challenges faced by today's healthcare services and providers.
By deepening your understanding of anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and advanced health assessment skills, and through hands-on work-based learning experiences, you'll enhance your clinical reasoning and evidence-based decision-making abilities.
