Biography

Dr Nathan Judd is a postdoctoral researcher in Statistics working under Future Leaders Fellow Dr Rowland Seymour. . His research involves constructing and fitting Bayesian nonparametric models to modern slavery data.

Dr Judd passed his viva voce exam with minor corrections in November 2024 at the University of Warwick and is awaiting conferrence of the award of Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics. His doctoral research was supervised by Professor Dario Spanò and entailed constructing two types of tractable non-diffusive Wright-Fisher process.

Research

  • Bayesian nonparametric methods for crime-linkage
  • Non-diffusive Wright-Fisher processes
  • Testing for jumps in discretely-observed processes
