Iris Xue is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at Birmingham Business School, The University of Birmingham. She received her PhD from the Business School at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2024, and earned both her Master’s degree and dual Bachelor's degrees from Fudan University and Soochow University in China, respectively.
Iris’s research centres on sustainability, consumer behaviour, and tourism marketing. She employs lab and field experiments, as well as secondary data analysis, in her research. Her work has been published in Tourism Management and Annals of Tourism Research. She has presented her work at several conferences, including the Associate for Consumer Research Conference (ACR), the American Marketing Association Conference (AMA), and the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (ICHRIE) Conference.
Iris has also received several awards and honours, including CUHK Postgraduate Research Output Award, ICHRIE 2023 Best Dissertation Proposal Award, CUHK Ph.D. International Mobility for Partnerships and Collaborations Award (for a six-month visit to the University of Queensland), and Reaching Out Award.
