He worked as a lecturer at the University of Essex since October 2019 before he joined the University of Birmingham on March 2022. Prior to joining the Birmingham Business School, Yongli heavily involved in teaching economics modules in macroeconomics and econometrics, and administration duties at Essex, such as the deputy director of the undergraduates’ final project and the deputy director of the PGT dissertation. His research interest is on the time-series forecasting under uncertainty and structural breaks and inflation modelling.
