Salma is a Lecturer in Accounting at Birmingham Business School. She joined the University of Birmingham in October 2021. Her research interests are corporate taxation, corporate communication, organisational transparency, and organisational legitimacy. Her research is interdisciplinary and focuses in particular on examining corporate tax reporting.
She received the BAFA (British Accounting and Finance Assiocation) Best Conference Paper (Early Career Researcher) Award in 2022.
