Raeni has extensive experience in research, teaching, and public engagement.
Her research focuses on the construction of accountability mechanisms for climate change, particularly in the area of climate finance.
After completing her PhD, she served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Stockholm Environment Institute in York, working on the Indonesia-UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (PACT) project to support the inclusive decarbonisation of Indonesia's transport sector.
Recognised for her scholarly contributions, Raeni has received the Rob Gray Emerging Scholar Award and the Reg Mathews Memorial Prize from CSEAR UK. She also actively contributes to academia as an ad-hoc reviewer for prestigious journals and has been selected as an expert reviewer for the upcoming Global Environmental Outlook, a flagship report from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Since 2013, Raeni has been committed to teaching, drawing on her global experiences in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the UK. She covers a broad range of subjects across BSc, MSc, and MBA programmes and is qualified as an Associate Fellow of Higher Education in the UK.
In addition to her academic duties, Raeni is actively involved in mentoring and public engagement, focusing on empowering underprivileged youth and communities in Indonesia.
