Dr Boscaino started his academic career completing a UG programme in Business Management and Tourism at the University of Sannio, in the south of Italy. Here he specialised in business management and had the opportunity of a formative internship with a local theatre festival where he worked as an administrative assistant and account coordinator.
During his UG studies, Dr Boscaino won an Erasmus studentship that allowed 1 Semester to be done at the University of Almeria, Spain.
After 2 years in the industry working for entertainment and leisure organisations, Dr Boscaino joined the University of Bologna and completed a MA in Innovation and Organisation of Culture and the Arts. This extremely formative experience led Dr Boscaino to explore digital arts and develop a curiosity towards digital co-creation/creativity. To complete his MA, Dr Boscaino was an intern with the then European market leader in crowdsourced video-ad, where he then worked as a campaign & network manager, and as a head of network.
For about 6 years, Dr Boscaino offered digital consulting services which led him to work with start-ups as well as established businesses. The industry sectors were digital word-of-mouth, digital marketing, software testing, crowdsourcing, and entrepreneurship/consulting.
Dr Boscaino started his PhD in 2015. The experience was a part-time one, but then became a full time as he took on teaching and research responsibilities for lecturers and researchers at the BBS. During the PhD, Dr Boscaino acquired associate fellowship of the HEA, performed a qualitative data analysis workshop, and completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Research Methods and Skills.
The completion of his PhD led to the involvement into conferences linked to creativity and street art, and the invitation to write book chapters on Artificial Intelligence, and on Street Art.
Dr Boscaino is currently on a teaching-focused contract but is working on expanding his publications list and sharing the findings of his PhD with the academic community.
