Her research revolves around the application and impact of management accounting within public sector organisations and their professionals, with a specific interest in investigating hospital accounting within both Chinese and global settings. Jing serves as an Executive Board Member for the Public Service & Charities Special Interest Group of the British Accounting and Finance Association. Qualifications PhD in Accounting, University of Birmingham, 2024 MSc in International Accounting and Finance, University of Birmingham, 2018 Bachelor in Finance, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, 2016 Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy, 2023 Biography Jing joined Birmingham Business School as an Assistant Professor in Accounting in January 2024. Her PhD project investigates doctors’ perceptions of cost control in a Chinese public hospital. Throughout her doctoral journey, Jing has presented her work at international conferences and doctoral colloquiums, including those organised by British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) and European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM). Her presentation won the third-place award for the Centre for Responsible Business prize at the Midlands Regional Doctoral Colloquium. She also served as PGR student representative at Birmingham Business School and organised Birmingham Business School Doctoral Conference in both 2021 and 2022.
