Bisola is an Assistant professor in accounting at Birmingham Business school whose research focuses on the role of accounting and the accounting profession in sustainability and sustainable development cutting across various contexts.

Biography

Bisola joined Birmingham Business School as an assistant professor in September 2023. She has over 7 years teaching and research experience in the United Kingdom and Nigeria.

Her PhD thesis examined the integration of sustainability into professional accounting education in the UK and Nigeria for which she also received a research grant from the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) accounting education special interest group.

Bisola has presented her work at various conferences and has been invited to speak on sustainability education for accountants at events such as the CSEAR international congress 2023, CSEAR education community of practice workshop, and the ICAN western zone seminar. She seeks to engage with various stakeholders within the accounting profession and the academic community on how accountants can develop sustainability knowledge and competencies.
