Your time at university offers you the chance to discover new interests, find a hidden talent, meet new people and make lifelong friends. It is important to find a healthy balance between your studies, placements and social life and at Birmingham, we offer many ways to help you do just that.
Placements
One of the highlights of the Biomedical Science course is the opportunity to undertake a summer research project placement or an optional year in industry. A number of our students have opted to make the most of these opportunities, including Chloe Tanner and Victoria Saunders who created video blogs of their experiences.
Our partnerships with the Université de Tours, France and Tongji Medical College in Wuhan, China means you can gain valuable research experience in the summer putting the knowledge you developed on the course in real life scenarios.
