The Vision Impairment Centre for Teaching and Research (VICTAR) which is based in the School of Education at the University of Birmingham, brings together the teaching and research activities of colleagues at the University in the area of vision impairment and education.
Professional development programmes
The postgraduate sensory programme is a flexible part time blended learning programme designed for those who want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people from 0-25 who are deaf, vision impaired or have multi-sensory (deafblindness) impairment. It offers 3 pathways with mandatory and non-mandatory qualifications available including a pathway for visual impairment.
