Beyond Commemoration: Community, Collaboration and Legacies of the First World War is an AHRC funded project which aimed to make visible the work of citizen historians involved in commemorative activity between 2014 and 2019.

Drawing on the knowledge and experiences of the two of the First World War Engagement Centres – Voices of War and Peace and Everyday Lives – they worked with community activists, academics, and independent scholars to produce a series of four open access downloadable legacy-themed e-books:
