Innovation in medical education

Medical education must adapt to the evolving landscape of the modern health service that includes integrated care systems, and digitalized healthcare. Its design needs to be targeted to the learners, their setting, and the available resources – this includes the role of technology in supporting flexible, personalized, and collaborative learning.

Aims

Explore the use of modern digital tools and latest pedagogical techniques to deliver medical education reflective of a range of health contexts.  In particular, we are interested in exploring the application and cultivation of practical wisdom in General Practice, professional identity formation and meaningful conversations in educational supervision.

Current projects

Clinitalk project – the use of voice recognition to support training in consultation and communication.
