Our City of Stories
Culture Forward
Our City of Stories is all about forging links between our University and the many diverse cultures across our city, shining a light on its vast range of creativity: the arts and culture that inhabit our everyday lives and shape who we are.
In partnership with University Music and the Barber Institute of Fine Arts and launched in 2023, Our City of Stories is a programme of music, performance and spoken word that showcases the breadth of creative talent across Birmingham.
A diverse programme of hip hop, rap, bhangra, jazz, soul, gospel and folk, Our City of Stories has invited guest artists from across the city to perform on campus to tell their own stories and those of their communities.
