Sustainable Finance

Our Sustainable Finance theme advances high-quality research on integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in investment decisions. It aims to deepen understanding of ESG significance and support green, socially responsible (SRI), and transparent investments conducted with integrity and accountability.

Taking an interdisciplinary approach, we bring together diverse academic disciplines to collaboratively undertake research on areas such as; sustainable business models and financial performance, resiliency to future climate and political risks, changes in the adaptation finance gap and climate change financial damage, and challenges and opportunities for investment in renewable energy sources and combating air and water pollution.

By engaging in meaningful dialogue with policymakers, industry practitioners, businesses, and communities we ensure that our research is grounded in real-world challenges and opportunities, and contributes to investment practices that are compatible with sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the United Nations’ six core principles for responsible investment (PRI) for a more resilient and sustainable future.
